This role primarily operates in a remote setting, complemented by occasional in-person visits to our outpatient office as necessary. Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will:

• Conduct individual therapy sessions in clients' homes and group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, adapting therapeutic techniques to suit each client’s unique needs.

• Implement and monitor behavior modification strategies, focusing on anger management, coping mechanisms, and social skills development.
\n
• Assist youth in making positive decisions to mitigate in-home behavioral challenges, striving to create a peaceful living environment.

• Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals, ensuring a united approach to client care.
\n
• Complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes to inform ongoing care.

• Attend monthly team meetings to provide updates on client progress and contribute professional insights on treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on supporting children and teens ages 3-20 who face a range of developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Our clients often experience high-risk behaviors that necessitate specialized therapeutic interventions. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license.
\n
• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during the essential after-school hours of 4-7 pm; flexibility for weekend hours is a plus.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are required for occasional travel to client homes.
\n
• Completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experiences are highly desirable:

• Demonstrated experience providing positive behavior support to children and adolescents.
\n
• Previous work with families and children diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese to accommodate our diverse clientele is preferred, as we aim to reduce language barriers in therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
