Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and determine the medical necessity of physical therapy services, developing a comprehensive Plan of Care tailored to each individual's condition.
• Utilize nationally recognized clinical guidelines and Utilization Management protocols when making clinical decisions regarding the length, intensity, and frequency of treatments.
• Document all clinical decisions in detailed reports, noting trends in provider performances which present educational opportunities within the team.
• Engage in peer consultations with fellow therapists as required, ensuring that all care plans adhere to clinical appropriateness before final review by the Medical Director.
• Thoroughly review requests for physical therapy services submitted by the coordination team, ensuring relevant documentation such as diagnoses, evaluations, and progress notes are complete and timely.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients, including those with physical injuries, cognitive impairments, psychosocial challenges, and developmental disabilities. A significant portion of your role will involve treating pediatric patients and collaborating with their families to establish effective treatment strategies. This diverse client focus allows you to apply your skills in both outpatient and acute care settings, enhancing your clinical experience.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and a strong foundational knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Demonstrated ability to provide quality care in both clinic and hospital environments.
• Experience and comfort in working with pediatric patients, along with an understanding of hospital medicine practices.
• Competent in delivering inpatient care, ensuring therapeutic interventions align with clinical best practices.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient and acute care settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with standardized test assessments and documentation practices in rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range between USD 120,000 and 130,000, commensurate with experience.
