Position Overview

The Canyon Physical Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Tallahassee, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, identifying their individual rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement targeted treatment plans that are tailored to each patient's specific conditions and goals.
• Use a combination of hands-on therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and modality applications to provide effective treatment.
• Monitor patient progress through ongoing assessments and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and treatment records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Demonstrate superior customer service by engaging positively with patients and contributing to a welcoming clinic environment.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate patient care and optimize recovery strategies.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, preventative measures, and exercises to promote ongoing health.
• Meet or exceed departmental utilization goals to enhance the operational effectiveness of the therapy services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily focus on orthopedic patients, dealing with a variety of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Your expertise will enable you to address the unique needs of diverse populations, from athletes recovering from sports injuries to individuals managing chronic pain. Building trust with your patients will facilitate their adherence to treatment and their active participation in the recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE accredited program is required.
• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy is highly preferred.
• Current state license in Physical Therapy to practice in Florida.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective patient interaction.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills to maintain clinical records.
• A passion for establishing strong, positive relationships with patients that inspire them to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• A proactive approach to connecting with community resources and health initiatives.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous involvement in patient education or community wellness programs is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and therapy documentation software.

Compensation and Benefits
