Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient’s unique experience and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to promote trauma recovery.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process traumatic experiences and build effective coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to coordinate integrated care for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention and support, especially during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate and effective care.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to aid in recovery.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards while adhering to timely note completion.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, updating knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and emerging therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our center primarily serves individuals experiencing trauma, stress, and anxiety. This includes a diverse range of patients, from children and adolescents to adults and seniors, each presenting unique challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
