Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through initial virtual interviews, documenting every aspect of client treatment from initiation to completion.

• Create tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, adapting strategies to meet diverse needs.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques to encourage client participation and healing.
\n
• Continuously monitor and evaluate clients’ progress in alignment with treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians and nursing staff, to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.

• Conduct follow-ups with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients receiving hospitalization, ensuring coordinated care.

• Educate families and primary caregivers about coping strategies and behavioral management techniques to support their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health counselor at Medina Counseling Center, you will encounter a varied patient population, ranging from adolescents to adults facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our clients often seek help for complex emotional and psychological conditions, and you will play a vital role in transforming their lives through effective evidence-based practices.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of Colorado.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong understanding and commitment to ethical practices in mental health counseling.
\n
• Proficient use of electronic health record systems, with preference for familiarity with platforms such as AVATAR.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in providing telehealth services is highly desirable, especially in a counseling setting.

• Experience in managing clients with co-occurring disorders, including underlying physical health issues and addiction challenges.

• In-depth knowledge of the mental health guidelines set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Exceptional communication and relational skills, with a demonstrated ability to establish rapport with clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary package ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a substantial sign-on bonus.
