Work Environment

This position primarily involves providing therapy in-home care settings, allowing you to interact closely with patients in their comfortable environments. You will work full-time, primarily Monday to Friday, and be part of a collaborative team of healthcare professionals dedicated to the same mission. The work setting facilitates the formation of strong therapeutic relationships, enabling personalized care that is tailored to each patient's unique situation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including gathering pertinent medical histories and conducting specific physical assessments to determine individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation findings and collaboratively set treatment goals with patients and their families, ensuring that their needs and preferences are deeply considered.
• Implement treatment protocols reliant on assessment findings, patient feedback, and evidence-based practices, adapting as necessary to meet changing healthcare standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, recognizing when to modify treatment plans based on patient progress or medical consultations.
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly and accurately in compliance with evolving healthcare regulations, which includes initial evaluations, daily treatment notes, interim progress reports, and discharge plans.
• Maintain an organized schedule, meeting productivity expectations while demonstrating effective time management skills.
• Engage in community outreach and marketing activities to promote the services provided by Better Living Physical Therapy.
• Contribute to department goals and ongoing quality improvement initiatives, actively participating in required educational opportunities to enhance your professional growth.
• Serve as a clinical instructor for students, sharing your knowledge and encouraging future generations of therapists.
• Emphasize exceptional customer experiences, striving to remove barriers to patient care access and enhancing overall satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Better Living Physical Therapy, you will predominantly work with adults and seniors, many of whom may experience chronic pain, rehabilitation needs following surgeries, or mobility issues due to various health conditions. Your expertise will play a critical role in evaluating and treating these individuals in their homes, allowing for personalized care that prioritizes their comfort and independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills are essential for success in this role.
• A passion for working with patients in a home care setting and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in home health settings or outpatient clinics will be considered an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
