Position Overview

Atrium Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our team at our Metuchen, New Jersey Rehabilitation Center. Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite at our Metuchen Rehabilitation Center, where we utilize state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to ensure the highest level of patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with functional limitations and disabilities, creating personalized treatment plans that address specific needs.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards in documentation and care provision.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive continuum of care for patients, providing them with insights and recommendations based on therapy progress and needs.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, rehabilitation progress, and preventative care strategies to empower them to participate actively in their recovery.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants, aides, and students, fostering an environment of growth and learning within the team.
• Engage in community outreach efforts to promote health education and awareness, contributing to our philosophy of holistic patient-centered care.
• Participate in regular staff meetings and continuing education activities to enhance professional skills and competencies.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment and patient progress while submitting billing codes for necessary services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Atrium, you will work with a varied patient population, including those recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, and individuals requiring rehabilitation following injuries. We serve a diverse demographic, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, each presenting unique challenges and opportunities for impactful treatment delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• Licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in word processing and electronic medical record systems.
• Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and empower them throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple patients and priorities.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of physical therapy experience is required, preference will be given to candidates with experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and familiarity with electronic healthcare systems.
