Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while still connecting with clients via virtual platforms. Additionally, the counselor will have opportunities to conduct sessions in our outpatient office in Hialeah, Florida, providing a welcoming atmosphere for in-person consultations. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and detailed evaluations of clients to determine mental health needs, including diagnostic assessments that guide treatment plans.

• Provide individualized one-on-one counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to help clients manage issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions, including support and psychoeducational groups that focus on shared experiences and collective healing.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans, setting measurable goals and tailored interventions to suit each client's unique situation.

• Respond to clients in crisis situations, providing immediate support and conducting risk assessments to ensure safety and coordinate emergency interventions as needed.

• Stay current with developments in mental health by pursuing ongoing training and participating in professional development activities.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to deliver holistic care to clients, improving patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves a diverse client population, including individuals struggling with mood disorders, trauma-related issues, substance abuse, and stress management. Counselors will employ culturally competent strategies tailored to the unique needs and backgrounds of clients from various communities within Hialeah and surrounding areas.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Active licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, which requires passing a recognized exam, completing supervised clinical hours, and meeting educational prerequisites.

• A minimum of three years of supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting, providing a strong foundation for practice.

• Dedication to ongoing professional development and continuing education as mandated by licensing boards to enhance clinical skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n
