Work Environment

This role will be based onsite at our outpatient office in Deerfield Beach, Florida, an area known for its vibrant community and beautiful coastal views. As part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with other health professionals to create a cohesive treatment plan for each patient.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and create personalized treatment plans based on the individual needs of each patient, utilizing appropriate assessment tools, tests, and measures.
• Implement and monitor progress on treatment programs, adjusting goals and interventions based on patients' responses to therapy.
• Deliver high-quality physical therapy sessions, including techniques such as trigger point therapy and other methodologies to relieve pain, restore function, and enhance mobility.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within our electronic medical record systems, including patient evaluations, treatment plans, and billing information to ensure seamless patient care and organizational compliance.
• Perform screenings for conditions such as lymphedema and fall risks, ensuring appropriate interventions and referrals when necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team, sharing insights and updating care plans to enhance patient outcomes.
• Contribute to the development of the department through presentations, publications, and the supervision of students and interns.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes individuals facing a range of physical and cognitive challenges stemming from injuries, illness, and disabilities. You will be responsible for providing therapeutic interventions for diverse demographics, including pediatric patients. Your sensitivity to their unique needs and your ability to deliver compassionate care will play a vital role in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A valid Florida PT License is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory, while a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Proven clinical experience in an acute care or outpatient setting, with a minimum of one year of hands-on experience.
• Strong proficiency in trigger point therapy and comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Demonstrated capability in providing care across both clinical and hospital environments.
• Ability to effectively communicate and engage with pediatric patients.
• Familiarity with current hospital medicine practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse patient populations including children and adults.
• Previous involvement in academic or community presentations, improving departmental education efforts.
• Skill in managing caseloads effectively in a busy outpatient setting.
