Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate with the Department of Correction to facilitate patient access and ensure appropriate housing and treatment disposition.

• Coordinate comprehensive patient care by working closely with other institutional programs and health providers.
\n
• Develop, lead, and facilitate group therapy sessions for patients residing in mental health observation units and assigned areas.
\n
• Conduct mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, assessments, and follow-up care to ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Participate actively in clinical supervision sessions with a Clinical Supervisor at least once a week to refine therapeutic skills and enhance clinical practices.
\n
• Document patient progress, complete required statistical reports, and engage in case conferences and treatment planning for patients under mental health care.
\n
• Determine and coordinate appropriate disposition plans for patients, ensuring they receive the necessary follow-up and support for mental health treatment.
\n
• Provide supervision and guidance to social work interns or student volunteers as required, contributing to their professional development.
\n
• May perform psychological testing as designated by clinical needs.
