Japanese-English Voice Recorder for AI Training [Remote]

Contribute spoken-language data to help train next-generation machine learning systems by recording high-quality Japanese audio, including controlled background sounds. This role focuses on producing precise, reliable speech samples and short written feedback that improve how models learn and process natural language.

• Record yourself reading provided Japanese sentences in a quiet office or from a stationary vehicle, following project safety instructions.
• Create specified background sounds on demand, for example seatbelt clicks, door openings, or car indicator signals, while ensuring the vehicle remains stationary and safe.
• Follow detailed linguistic and technical guidelines to meet audio quality, pronunciation, timing, and content requirements.
• Deliver high-quality audio files and any required written feedback or annotations according to project specifications.
• Collaborate remotely with project coordinators to clarify instructions, receive updates, and incorporate feedback into deliverables.
• Ensure all recordings and submissions adhere to confidentiality and ethical use guidelines.

• Native-level proficiency in Japanese, with clear enunciation and natural fluency.
• Written and verbal communication skills in Japanese, and at least B2-level English ability.
• Ability to follow precise, often technical instructions and meet detailed project specifications for audio and content.
• Comfort working independently in a remote setting and managing assigned tasks and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, especially for pronunciation, background noise control, and data accuracy.
• No prior experience in AI or machine learning is required; domain accuracy and following guidelines matter most.

• Engagement type: independent contractor.
• Location: fully remote, recordings may be performed from a quiet office environment or from inside a stationary vehicle as specified.
• Safety requirement: when recording in a vehicle, all audio must be captured with the vehicle stationary and in a safe manner.
• Task management: you will work independently to complete assigned recording tasks and communicate remotely with project staff for clarifications and updates.

• Hourly pay: $30.00 to $65.00 per hour.

• Native-level Japanese language ability is required.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher is required for written and verbal communication.
