Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments that accurately identify client needs and goals, ensuring a personalized approach to therapy.

• Gather detailed client history and develop an understanding of family dynamics to inform treatment strategies.

• Provide a range of therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family therapy, addressing various presenting issues such as relationship challenges, communication barriers, and emotional distress.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with clients’ specific goals, utilizing evidence-based methods, including structural family therapy and narrative therapy.

• Document patient progress diligently, ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant with state regulations, enhancing transparency and care continuity.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Mile High Counseling Center, you will work with a varied clientele, including couples seeking to strengthen their relationships, families aiming to improve communication, and individuals facing personal challenges. Your approach will be grounded in psychoeducation and relationship counseling, helping clients develop skills to cope and thrive in their daily lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
\n
• Valid Marriage and Family Therapist license (LMFT) in New Jersey.
\n
• Certification in one or more therapeutic modalities, such as strategic, systemic, or transgenerational therapy, is required.

• At least one year of post-licensure clinical experience in a counseling setting is preferred.
\n
• Bilingual communication skills are a significant advantage, as they enhance our ability to serve the diverse community of Paterson.

Preferred Experience\n

While we require at least one year of relevant experience, candidates who possess additional training in specialized therapeutic techniques, group therapy dynamics, or psychological assessments will be given preference. Practical familiarity with virtual therapy platforms and electronic health record systems is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
