Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Reliant Rehab Services, you will:

• Evaluate and interpret patient conditions and implement customized treatment plans as per medical prescriptions.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques to facilitate patient progress.
• Document patient interactions and track outcomes to ensure compliance with treatment goals and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about rehabilitation exercises, home programs, and techniques to enhance recovery.
• Conduct follow-up assessments to monitor progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary.
• Actively participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and share insights to improve clinic operations.
• Meet utilization goals and contribute positively to the clinic's overall business objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse patient demographic, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will work closely with pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients, using specialized rehabilitation techniques appropriate for each group. Your approach will center on creating meaningful relationships with patients to help them achieve their functional goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills for effective patient interaction.
• Proficiency in word processing and electronic documentation systems.
• A commitment to building strong relationships with patients, caregivers, and community members.

Preferred Experience

While not required, experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings and knowledge of evidence-based treatments for orthopedic conditions are preferred. A background in interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly in engaging with other healthcare professionals, will be an asset in this role.
