Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting with functional limitations and disabilities, developing customized treatment plans that address their specific needs.
• Implement treatment protocols while ensuring the highest standards of patient care, continuously tracking progress and modifying plans as required based on patient feedback and clinical evaluations.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers on patient progress, ensuring continuity of care through effective communication and documentation.
• Maintain an organized and accurate record of patient evaluations, treatments, and discharge plans compliant with legal and professional standards.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to physical therapy aides and students, fostering a culture of learning and improvement within the department.
• Engage in staff meetings and continuing education workshops, actively participating in discussions aimed at enhancing clinical practices and outcomes for patients.
• Contribute to initiatives for community outreach and patient education, strengthening relationships within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Benchmark PT Clinic, you will work primarily with patients dealing with orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recovery, and musculoskeletal disorders. Our patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric individuals, allowing for a variety of experiences and treatment scenarios. Each patient requires personalized attention, and your expertise will significantly contribute to their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy and current BLS certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective patient interactions and documentation.
• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer software for documentation and communication purposes.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining professional development through continuing education.

Preferred Experience

While not required, we prefer candidates with experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or working in an outpatient setting. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and participation in community outreach programs will be seen as advantageous.
