Parkridge Adult Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our home care team in beautiful Woodbridge, Virginia. This full-time position offers an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our patients as you provide personalized care within their own homes. We offer competitive compensation in the range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, in addition to a full benefits package.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work primarily in patients' homes, providing onsite care that is tailored to individual needs and healing phases. This dynamic work setting allows for close interaction with patients and their families, giving you the unique chance to observe and foster progress in a familiar and comfortable environment. Our work schedule runs Monday to Friday, with shifts totaling 40 hours per week, providing a work-life balance that enhances job satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical abilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that include effective therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and education regarding injury recovery.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to maximize patient outcomes, continuously adjusting treatment plans based on progress.
• Deliver high-quality, skilled therapeutic care directly within the patient's home, ensuring adherence to the physician's plan of care.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service skills by actively communicating with patients and their caregivers, enhancing their understanding and involvement in the therapy process.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to share insights and strategies that enhance patient treatment plans.
• Meet and exceed minimum utilization goals and contribute positively to team performance and departmental objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist in our home care setting, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client population, including patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those with neurological disorders, pediatric cases, and sports medicine injuries. Your ability to adapt techniques and demonstrate compassion will be vital in providing the best care for each patient's unique situation.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective patient interaction.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for documentation and communication tasks.
• Ability to establish strong, trusting relationships with patients, motivating them to reach and exceed their functional goals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home health care or outpatient settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based treatment methodologies and their practical applications in real-world scenarios.
• Prior exposure to interdisciplinary team collaboration.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, which reflects the experience and expertise of the selected candidate.
