Bright Minds Crisis Intervention Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to contribute to our mission of empowering individuals affected by trauma. In this role, you will utilize your expertise as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to facilitate healing and recovery in a supportive and knowledgeable environment.

Work Environment\n

This role offers a remote working environment, allowing you to conduct sessions from the comfort of your own space while accessing the resources needed to serve our clients effectively. As part of our cohesive team, you will engage in virtual meetings and collaborate closely with colleagues, ensuring an integrated approach to care that meets the complex needs of our patients. Our flexible work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, may require some adaptability based on patient needs, but we prioritize work-life balance for our staff.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and formulate appropriate treatment plans.

• Developing individualized treatment plans emphasizing trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies tailored specifically to each patient's unique needs.
\n
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective healing.

• Leading both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process their trauma experiences and cultivate essential coping strategies.
\n
• Working collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic and integrated care.
\n
• Offering crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.

• Educating patients and their family members on trauma responses and available coping mechanisms, fostering a greater understanding of their experiences.

• Maintaining comprehensive and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participating in case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient progress and share insights related to trauma-informed care.

• Engaging in ongoing professional development activities to remain current on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on trauma survivors, including individuals from diverse backgrounds facing challenges related to PTSD, complex trauma, and other trauma-related disorders. By providing specialized support and compassionate care, you will play a vital role in helping these clients overcome their psychological barriers and achieve lasting wellness.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Colorado.
\n
• Proficient knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities and a track record in delivering effective trauma-focused therapies.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish a trusting relationship with patients based on empathy and understanding.

• Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and case loads efficiently.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology to support patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience, especially those with a background in trauma therapy. Familiarity with resilience-building approaches and effective intervention techniques will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
