Business Development Manager - Financial Wellness Solutions

As a Business Development Manager within PNC’s Financial Wellness Solutions, you will be based in San Diego, CA. You will work directly with clients to develop and drive a financial wellness program aligned with organizational goals and objectives, including health and benefit accounts, student debt solutions, earned wage access and other financial wellness offerings. Employ a consultative sales approach to acquire new business relationships and work with client services teams and partners to support the growth of your book of business. Responsibilities Acquire new clients across financial wellness solutions, focusing on growth of sales, revenue and market share with relevant goals. Acquire, expand and retain client relationships to generate revenue and deepen share of wallet; manage origination, financial analysis, negotiation and documentation of non-credit products and services. Manage risk/return and drive quality for new and existing clients, actively identifying and mitigating regulatory, reputational and operational risks. Provide insights and ideas based on client needs and financial well‑being to increase engagement and loyalty. Build an effective network of internal and external relationships, presenting the full range of PNC products and services and leveraging reporting and sales tools to convert opportunities. Analyze, evaluate and inform about financial wellness solutions product knowledge, industry benchmarking and solution positioning. Client Engagement & Risk Management Customer Focused – Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions. Managing Risk – Assess and effectively manage all risks associated with business objectives and activities, ensuring adherence to the PNC Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Qualifications Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this role, including a university/college degree with 3+ years of relevant direct industry experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, relevant job‑specific certification(s) and experience (including military service) may be considered. This role is incentive eligible with payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
