Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including an in-depth review of patient history, physical assessments, and documentation of findings to inform treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation results and treatment recommendations clearly with patients and their families, actively involving them in goal-setting processes.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient, considering their unique needs and the evolving landscape of healthcare.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, recognizing and documenting any changes in patient conditions requiring adjustments in care plans or referrals.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring thorough documentation according to compliance standards, including clear summaries and evaluations throughout patient progress.
• Demonstrate effective time management by maintaining productivity goals while ensuring each patient receives the attention they deserve.
• Engage in departmental initiatives aimed at achieving set goals, adhering to regulatory requirements, and contributing to organizational success.
• Pursue continuing education opportunities for professional growth and mentor students as a clinical instructor, supporting the next generation of therapists.
• Enhance customer experience through adaptability and a commitment to overcoming barriers to care access.
• Participate in marketing activities to promote our services and engage with the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Scripps, you will work with a range of patients, from individuals recovering from surgery or injury to those with chronic conditions requiring rehabilitation. Our patient-centered approach ensures that you will consider not only the clinical aspects of care but also the emotional and psychological needs of patients and their families.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (DPT) in the State of New Jersey is mandatory.
• Current certification in BLS for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association.
• Willingness to engage in additional training and professional development as opportunities arise.

Preferred Experience

• While prior work experience is not required, candidates with at least 2 years in a clinical setting will be preferred, particularly in rehabilitation facilities.
• Demonstrable knowledge of contemporary rehabilitation practices and documentation standards.

Compensation and Benefits
