Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health to determine their treatment needs and formulate appropriate therapy plans.

• Implement individualized therapy strategies for a diverse range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and eating disorders.

• Regularly meet with clients to evaluate progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, employing various therapeutic modalities tailored to their unique backgrounds and experiences.

• Provide referrals to other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, for medication evaluation or specialized treatment as needed.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of client sessions using electronic health record (EHR) systems in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in supervision and consultation sessions with other clinicians and contribute to team discussions, enhancing the overall quality of care provided within the practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health counselor at Better Living Psychotherapy Center, you will work primarily with adults facing a range of mental health issues. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active, valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• At least four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling or psychotherapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
