Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations to gather critical information regarding clients’ backgrounds, mental states, and support systems.

• Document all client interactions meticulously, tracking progress throughout the therapeutic journey to inform and adjust treatment plans effectively.

• Collaborate with clients to design tailored treatment and recovery plans, facilitating individual and group therapy sessions to address various mental health issues.
\n
• Monitor client progress diligently, adjusting interventions based on therapeutic effectiveness and shifting client needs.
\n
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health professionals, to create seamless intervention plans that promote holistic recovery.

• Engage in follow-up communications with external providers regarding clients admitted to health facilities to ensure continuity of care.

• Educate clients and families about mental health conditions and coping strategies, empowering them to manage behavioral challenges and support recovery.

Therapists are expected to cultivate a therapeutic alliance built on trust and cultural competence to effectively support clients in their recovery journeys. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within the state of Virginia.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling capacity.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR.

• Comprehensive understanding of the implications of mental health conditions and proficiency in treating addiction disorders.

• Alignment with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Exemplary communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically.

• Strong interpersonal skills, establishing rapport quickly with clients to facilitate effective therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, reflecting the candidate's qualifications and experience.
