Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary school students as an SLP Leave Replacement starting January 4th, with the potential for an extended assignment. In this role, you’ll work at a single site, helping a diverse caseload of approximately 55 students, including both speech-only and resource students. Collaborate closely with educators and families to foster growth in speech and language skills, providing hands-on support to young learners during a formative period in their academic journey.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Valid licensure to practice as an SLP in California
• Prior experience in a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged children, is highly desirable
• Expertise in evaluation, treatment planning, and delivering direct and consultative SLP services
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language services to elementary students in both speech-only and resource settings
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Complete student assessments and document progress toward goals
• Consult with classroom teachers to support integration of communication strategies
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide clear, professional recommendations
