Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients returning home from medical events, crafting personalized treatment plans based on their unique needs and medical histories.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic methods, including but not limited to exercises, stretching, manual therapy techniques, and specialized equipment to alleviate pain and improve mobility.
• Regularly track patient progress and document responses to treatments, making necessary adjustments to the treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to educate them on therapy techniques, as well as assistive devices for enhanced mobility and self-care.
• Provide ongoing training for patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members, ensuring everyone involved has the knowledge to support the patient's recovery.
• Maintain professional development by attending workshops, reading relevant publications, and network with peers in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work with a diverse client population, including children and adults recovering from a variety of conditions. This may range from post-operative rehabilitation to managing chronic pain and mobility issues stemming from neurological or musculoskeletal disorders. Each treatment plan will promote maximum recovery potential and improve overall patient health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current state license in Physical Therapy to practice in Florida.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to the unique needs of each patient.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred but a Bachelor's Degree accepting two years of relevant experience is sufficient.
• Two years of experience in a outpatient or home care physical therapy setting, focusing on patient-centered care.

Compensation and Benefits
