Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our modern Rehabilitation Center in Sarasota, where you will work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday. The center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and resources that allow you to provide the highest level of care. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals, including fellow physical therapists, occupational therapists, and support staff, all committed to patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical capabilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans based on individual patient needs and physician directives, employing evidence-based practices.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to enhance recovery and improve functional performance.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary, ensuring continuous communication with physicians and members of the healthcare team.
• Provide education to patients and their caregivers about treatment objectives and home exercises, encouraging adherence to plans for optimal outcomes.
• Contribute to building a culture of customer service excellence and collaboration by actively participating in team meetings and case discussions.
• Meet or exceed minimum utilization goals while maintaining high standards of patient care and service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice focuses on an array of patient populations, including those with orthopedic injuries, pediatrics, neurological disorders, and sports-related conditions. As a Physical Therapist at Down East Care, you will engage with patients at various stages of recovery, from post-operative rehabilitation to chronic pain management. Your ability to connect with and motivate patients is vital in facilitating their journey back to optimal health and mobility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program is required.
• Must possess a valid state license in Physical Therapy and a current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficient in technology, including electronic medical record systems, word processing, and communication interfaces.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a rehabilitation environment.
• Experience treating diverse patient populations, with a particular focus on orthopedic, pediatric, and neurological cases.
• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred, as well as an active license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
