Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Viera Physical Therapy, you will take on a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' physical capabilities and limitations, developing individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals.
• Implementing and modifying treatment interventions across various specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases.
• Employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques and methodologies to bring about significant improvements in patients' functional abilities.
• Delivering therapeutic care within the rehabilitation center, ensuring adherence to physician-directed care plans.
• Fostering relationships with patients through open communication, education, and training about their treatment programs and recovery processes.
• Documenting patient progress accurately and comprehensively, meeting all reporting guidelines to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and administrators to enhance the quality and efficiency of patient care.
• Meeting and striving to exceed minimum utilization targets and business objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients who have varied needs and backgrounds. Your focus will include:

• Orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries or injuries, aiming to regain strength and mobility.
• Pediatric patients who require specialized care tailored to their developmental stages.
• Neurologic patients dealing with conditions such as stroke and multiple sclerosis, requiring meticulous and adaptive treatment strategies.
• Athletes and active individuals focused on rehabilitation and performance improvement.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant clinical experience in a similar setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, paired with proficient computer and documentation abilities.
• Ability to build rapport and establish strong therapeutic relationships with patients to optimize their recovery experience.
• A genuine desire to connect with and support patients throughout their treatment journey.

Preferred Experience

In addition to the minimum qualifications, the following experience is preferred:

• Prior experience in a rehabilitation center or outpatient setting, specifically working with a diverse patient population.
• Familiarity with emerging trends in physical therapy practices and techniques.

Compensation and Benefits
