Work Environment

This role is fully onsite at our Bradenton outpatient office, featuring cutting-edge rehabilitation resources and a collaborative atmosphere. As a part of our close-knit team, consisting of two physical therapists and one PTA, you will enjoy a supportive workplace where your contributions matter. Our operation hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and address patients' individual health and wellness goals comprehensively.
• Manage a patient load, typically one individual per hour, to ensure focused and personalized attention.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic settings to develop and administer effective treatment plans.
• Facilitate cost-effective therapeutic modalities aimed at improving clients' range of motion and mobility.
• Introduce alternative therapies to reduce dependence on pharmacological interventions and invasive procedures.
• Craft detailed care plans that incorporate diverse treatment techniques, including hands-on manual therapy and rehabilitative exercise.
• Create customized fitness and wellness programs tailored to each patient's individual circumstances, needs, and lifestyles.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based treatment interventions that yield the best outcomes for your clients.
• Inspire and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process to optimize their functional capabilities.
• Encourage healthy lifestyle changes by focusing on enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Work in collaboration with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for all patients.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and adjust interventions accordingly while maintaining clear and thorough documentation of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Open Play Physical Therapy, you will work primarily with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and conditions. Our patient base is diverse, ranging from active adults to older populations benefiting from rehabilitative care. Your role is vital in empowering these patients to return to their daily activities and enhance their overall health trajectories.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Possess a current Florida physical therapy license with no history of board or disciplinary actions.
• Exhibit strong manual therapy skills and a thorough understanding of various rehabilitation techniques.
• Demonstrate expertise in developing and implementing exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• 2 years of proven experience as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Strong background working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits
