Work Environment

The role will primarily be onsite at our well-equipped rehabilitation center, which is designed to facilitate a variety of physical therapy treatments. Our facility is focused on ergonomic and patient-centered design to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for both patients and staff. You will be working from Monday to Friday, typically from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, in a vibrant community dedicated to health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Thriving Journey Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Directing patient-centered physical therapy treatments focusing on preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function based on individual care plans.
• Conducting thorough evaluations using diagnostic tests to assess muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
• Administering manual therapeutic exercises and guiding patients through non-manual exercises tailored to their recovery needs.
• Applying traction, massage, and other physical agents effectively to promote healing.
• Evaluating, fitting, and adapting prosthetic and orthotic devices, and making recommendations for modifications to improve patient mobility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, which may include post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will work with diverse populations, including adults and seniors, each with unique needs and capabilities. Your expertise will help these individuals regain their independence and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active state license as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• At least two years of relevant experience in settings such as orthopedics, geriatrics, or acute care environments.
• Proficient in orthopedic assessment and treatment methodologies, ensuring a tailored approach to care.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient progress and maintain records.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in outpatient settings and possess advanced skills in therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and functional training. Experience working with a diverse demographic and an understanding of insurance and billing processes will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonuses. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
