Work Environment

You will work onsite in our outpatient office setting, collaborating closely with a tight-knit group of two experienced physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). The collaborative atmosphere fosters professional development and encourages sharing best practices to ensure every patient receives optimum care. Our facility is designed to enhance patient engagement and support therapeutic practices, allowing you to focus on what you do best: helping patients recover and thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' needs and establish personalized treatment objectives that align with their healthcare requirements.
• Manage your schedule effectively to maintain a patient load of one patient per hour, ensuring quality and focused attention to each individual.
• Utilize expertise in orthopedic outpatient therapy to develop relevant, comprehensive care plans that include an array of treatment techniques.
• Implement evidence-based practices that yield measurable improvements in patients' mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Promote alternatives to medication and surgical interventions, focusing on holistic and rehabilitative approaches to care.
• Motivate patients throughout their recovery journey, offering encouragement and support to maximize their functional abilities.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers to create an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Document therapy sessions thoroughly and proficiently, ensuring consistent communication and continuity of care.
• Assess treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans in response to patient progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. You will work with diverse caseloads, ranging from active sports enthusiasts to seniors seeking to regain independence. This variety will allow you to utilize your skills to adapt interventions uniquely tailored to each patient's physical condition, lifestyle, and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current licensure and certification as a Physical Therapist in California.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proven experience and proficiency in orthopedic manual therapy techniques.
• Ability to create and conduct individualized exercise regimens effectively.
• Experienced in utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals alike.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
