Chief of Dermatology

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a dynamic leader to improve Dermatology care for Optum Massachusetts patients. This role involves strategic leadership and collaboration to ensure high-quality, patient-centric, and safe care within the department. Practice Info Multi-specialty group practice Delivering care for adult and pediatric patients 28 practice locations in eastern Massachusetts Value-based philosophy within the group practice and with hospitals, rehab, and nursing facilities Responsibilities Improve Dermatology care for Optum Massachusetts patients through dynamic leadership and collaboration Identify cost-effective best practices across the state, new technologies, unify patient and clinician experience, and aid in recruiting Manage and deliver care to ensure the department's patients receive high quality, patient centric and safe care Serve as a clinical leader interface between the Specialty Administration and physicians Communicate with departments across Optum Massachusetts to promote understanding and alignment with strategic goals Oversee implementation of organizational initiatives at the local level and plan and manage on-going projects within the department Implement cost savings measures within the department and maximize use of organizational clinical and non-clinical resources Drive change within the department using organizational tools and encourage involvement and creativity of clinical and non-clinical staff Compensation Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $237,500 - $387,500 Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus May increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role Benefits Comprehensive benefits package Incentive and recognition programs Equity stock purchase 401k contribution Shift & Schedule 0.1 dedicated admin time Requirements Licensed in the State of Massachusetts as a Medical Doctor (M.D.), Board Certified American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty Preferred: Additional degree(s) in business administration, public health or clinical operations desirable Preferred: 3+ years of clinical leadership experience
