Business Developer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Business Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Job entails standing for 4 hours and lifting up to 50 pounds;
- Develop strategic sales direction and showcase the Lettuce Grow brand, mission and service offering to consumers;
- Build relationships with corporate accounts and identify local social media influencers;
- Part-time (10-20 hours per week) outside sales role with frequent travel within local territory;
- Opportunity level value proposition development, presentation development and delivery internal/external;
- Proposal strategy development/writing/review;
- Account strategy development, account strategy execution, call plan development and execution;
- Teaming strategy development and negotiation;
- Pipeline development, opportunity qualification, win/capture strategy development, capture support, capture management.
Requirements:
- Must be energetic, motivated, driven, positive, entrepreneurial and team oriented;
- Events may entail standing for 4 hours and lifting up to 50 pounds as necessary;
- Desire to learn and develop a career in sales;
- Passion and interest in our mission of creating sustainable local food ecosystems and teaching people to grow their own food;
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. Ability to drive company and/or personal vehicles to local events;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Bachelor’s Degree, prefer business management, marketing, or a technical/mission expertise;
- Preference for strong knowledge of DHS and Federal Law Enforcement markets;
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Government procurement processes and trends, and performance-based contracting;
- Proficiency/understanding of Agile and DevSecOps software development practices;
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills;
- Proven track record of building and managing a successful pipeline and winning business in the federal marketplace.
