Our company is looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute demonstrations and proofs of concept;
  • Developing and delivering responses to RFPs/RFIs;
  • Provides support for production releases and incidents involving information solutions, with increasingly complex components and dependencies;
  • Ensure a smooth and successful transition (externally and internally) from sales process to service delivery;
  • Providing rapid, accurate responses to questions from sales teams and channel partners;
  • Maintain and support packaged software and delivery platforms (MFT, SWIFT);
  • Leverage integration styles and patterns for file integration, messaging and API services;
  • Design & implement highly-available, fault-tolerant, real time, distributed systems for core offerings;
  • Solicit and provide feedback from prospective and current customers to facilitate new features and functionality in our current technology;
  • Self-direction/Motivation:Can work without supervision.Identifies what needs to be done next without the benefit of all the information;
  • Be a core member of the team creating leading edge attribution and analytics tools;
  • Deploy our platform on our customer’s infrastructure, getting exposure to a variety of systems and architectures;
  • Participate in industry events and customer sales meetings representing SmartBear as a technical thought leader;
  • Teamwork: Working with others who have a common mission in a way that enhances the quality of the team’s products and processes;
  • Work closely with our Enterprise and Strategic Sales teams.

Requirements:

  • Preference for operating in a highly collaborative and agile environment;
  • Strong written and oral communications skills, including the ability to create and present requirements, analysis, design, and technical document;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned;
  • Technical degree from four year college (or equivalent);
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows configuration and management;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to implement, drive and track IT projects to successful closure;
  • Strong technical background;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to relay technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel;
  • Ability to understand complex technical and selling situations and the ability to solve the problem or solicit the required resources;
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE or related area is preferred;
  • Practical experience with enterprise backup and recovery platforms;
  • Experience in software development, quality automation, performance monitoring, or other software quality related fields;
  • 2+ years of experience in a hands-on, deeply technical, software development role;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
