Senior Technical Program Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day oversight of all IT and IA contract support personnel, Tech Order performance, and IT/IA program support services;
- Weekly, Monthly, Semi-Annual, Annual Reports;
- Review and Submit Trip Reports;
- Manage and coordinate complex, multi-phased deliverables by guiding cross-functional teams to define, scope, plan, and deliver high-quality software;
- Coordinate recurring team meetings;
- Oversee all aspects of new and existing programs or projects from start to finish;
- Identify risks, issues, and problems in software engineering processes and develop detailed recovery, mitigation, and scaling plans;
- Develop and maintain the master plan, schedule, dependency log, and status for multiple releases.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable passion for and awareness of information security;
- Experience with common project management methods and software;
- Knowledge of Mobile and Cloud SW development;
- 2+ years of management or TPM experience;
- 5-10 years of experience delivering technology-related services or offerings;
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field;
- Exposure to Oracle budgeting and planning tools is preferred, but not required;
- Proven track record of leading large cross-functional software projects;
- Strong judgment, especially relevant in balancing long term strategic investments with near term business objectives;
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence;
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field;
- Comfortable presenting to both internal and external executive audiences and engineering teams;
- Minimum 5 + years of experience as Technical Program Manager for software projects;
- Experience with systems management offerings or open source software is a plus;
- Experienced with several programming/scripting paradigms – programming and SQL analyst skills are required in this role.
