Technical Program Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Defines the program governance structure and responsible for the oversight and controls of the program;
- Lead and support business development activities, including identification, proposal development, and other pursuit activities;
- Manage the cost, schedule, and scope of the technology roadmap to deliver complex technical products to a cutting-edge customer;
- Lead the gathering of project requirements and project scope in a holistic manner across multiple business functions and locations;
- Additionally, the role will develop and implement a roadmap for change management for the technology organization;
- Communicate project risks, progress, launches and retrospectives across all stakeholders and teams consistently and transparently;
- SIGNIFICANT WORK ACTIVITIES Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day);
- Manage against deliverables (including SOWs, change management, approval of deliverables);
- LOCATION United States – California – Alameda;
- Design and lead effective program meetings to communicate status and coordinate efforts;
- Create and manage various project cost estimates and budgets;
- Ensures ongoing communication of progress against program objectives;
- Design, build and maintain the project plan including scope, schedule, budget and managing risk;
- Assume responsibility and drive ownership for issue resolution;
- Anticipate problems and complications, and formulate solutions so as not to impede the progress of the project.
Requirements:
- Consultative, collaboration approach and demeanor;
- Excellent analytical skills including ability to proactively identify problems, gather information and set course of action;
- Technical/professional expertise is demonstrated through problem solving, applying professional judgement, and competent performance;
- Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles;
- Foundry, MEMS, or semiconducting experience;
- Travel may be up to 80-100%
- Technical program management experience including both hardware and software;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Can effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all roles and levels of management;
- Technology product development experience is helpful;
- Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with attention to detail and organizational skillsAdvertisement;
