Our company is looking for a Senior Research Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a testing frameworks to ensure reproducibility of analysis findings;
  • Comfort determining a “best path” in an environment with incomplete information;
  • Develop instrumentation and protocols to test such hypotheses;
  • Knowledge of how to apply design analysis and optimization techniques such as;
  • Develop code guidelines, design patterns, best practices for a team of data scientists;
  • Develop scalable machine learning algorithms to model a new kind of biosignal;
  • Decision making and tools such as Pugh concept selection matrices, Fishbone Diagrams,
  • Optimize Machine Learning workloads of data scientist working on large amount of time-series data;
  • Adept at statistical analysis, sensitivity, specificity, robustness in a noisy environment;
  • Desire to work closely with electrical engineers and mechanical engineers to create innovative electro-mechanical concepts;
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD);
  • Experimental Testing & Design of Experiments (DOEs);
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task and drive to achieve results with minimal oversight;
  • Define short and long term research goals, informed by practical engineering concerns;
  • Translate these concept/solution ideas into testable hypotheses that address key technical risk factors.

Requirements:

  • An MS degree in engineering, physics, or closely related field;
  • Experience in optical system design, analysis and construction;
  • Previous primary authorship of one or more research publications;
  • PhD, MS or BA in computer science, engineering or related discipline;
  • Knowledge of how to apply design analysis and optimization techniques such as;
