Senior Research Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Research Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a testing frameworks to ensure reproducibility of analysis findings;
- Comfort determining a “best path” in an environment with incomplete information;
- Develop instrumentation and protocols to test such hypotheses;
- Knowledge of how to apply design analysis and optimization techniques such as;
- Develop code guidelines, design patterns, best practices for a team of data scientists;
- Develop scalable machine learning algorithms to model a new kind of biosignal;
- Decision making and tools such as Pugh concept selection matrices, Fishbone Diagrams,
- Optimize Machine Learning workloads of data scientist working on large amount of time-series data;
- Adept at statistical analysis, sensitivity, specificity, robustness in a noisy environment;
- Desire to work closely with electrical engineers and mechanical engineers to create innovative electro-mechanical concepts;
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD);
- Experimental Testing & Design of Experiments (DOEs);
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task and drive to achieve results with minimal oversight;
- Define short and long term research goals, informed by practical engineering concerns;
- Translate these concept/solution ideas into testable hypotheses that address key technical risk factors.
Requirements:
- An MS degree in engineering, physics, or closely related field;
- Experience in optical system design, analysis and construction;
- Previous primary authorship of one or more research publications;
- PhD, MS or BA in computer science, engineering or related discipline;
- Knowledge of how to apply design analysis and optimization techniques such as;
- Decision making and tools such as Pugh concept selection matrices, Fishbone Diagrams,
