Responsibilities:
- Ensure varied/age appropriate activities are planned and offered to individuals;
- Establish functional age appropriate, accessible community integrated sites;
- Maintain curriculum binders related to making choices, planning schedules and community activities;
- Provide training to staff regarding activity delivery methods and techniques;
- Arranges transportation to outside events/activities when necessary;
- Ensuring the community environment (including equipment and supplies) supports a safe and engaged culture of wellness;
- Implements an interactive daily program, including large and small groups, special events, and community outings;
- Operates activities/events within budgetary limits/allocation for program services;
- Develops a written plan of correction for activity deficiencies noted by appropriate authorities;
- Performs other related duties as assigned;
- Encourages participation in activities insofar as practical;
- Having a good time with and entertaining the participants, especially making them feel comfortable;
- Taking photos and videos while being in charge of the group;
- Communicating with me and my staff regularly throughout excursions;
- Accompanying the students on every activity, which may include hiking, walking, riding a bike and swimming.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent;
- Must be flexible to work any day of the week and any shift, including weekends and holidays;
- Previous customer service experience.
