Responsibilities:

  • Ensure varied/age appropriate activities are planned and offered to individuals;
  • Establish functional age appropriate, accessible community integrated sites;
  • Maintain curriculum binders related to making choices, planning schedules and community activities;
  • Provide training to staff regarding activity delivery methods and techniques;
  • Arranges transportation to outside events/activities when necessary;
  • Ensuring the community environment (including equipment and supplies) supports a safe and engaged culture of wellness;
  • Implements an interactive daily program, including large and small groups, special events, and community outings;
  • Operates activities/events within budgetary limits/allocation for program services;
  • Develops a written plan of correction for activity deficiencies noted by appropriate authorities;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned;
  • Encourages participation in activities insofar as practical;
  • Having a good time with and entertaining the participants, especially making them feel comfortable;
  • Taking photos and videos while being in charge of the group;
  • Communicating with me and my staff regularly throughout excursions;
  • Accompanying the students on every activity, which may include hiking, walking, riding a bike and swimming.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent;
  • Must be flexible to work any day of the week and any shift, including weekends and holidays;
  • Previous customer service experience.
