Description:
Cross posting for a float pool position.
Floating to various Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units.
Floating across all acute care nursing areas depending upon staffing needs.
Includes Geriatric/Palliative Care, Orthopedics & Trauma, Medicine, Surgical, Client, Epilepsy, and Stroke.
Also involves Acute Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Hematology/Oncology, Solid Organ Transplant, Thoracic Cardiovascular, Digestive Health, and Acute Care Special Pathogens Unit (COVID).
Responsible for ED Boarders, admitted patients who are boarding in the Emergency Department.
A separate ICU and IMU float pool is available, so this role does not include critical care or intermediate care units.
Clinical review and auto offer.
36 or 48 hours may be offered per week.
Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed.
Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
Must adhere to floating policy.
Candidates can submit with a pending license.
Additional requirements include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry, and experience with a level 1 trauma facility.
Previous charge experience is preferred.
Patients typically have a ratio of 4.5 per nurse during the day.
Candidates must float within their scope of practice as needed.
