The Kitchen Manager is responsible for following Indian Health Services, Multnomah County, and State of Oregon standards/guidelines for food service operations in a Residential Treatment Facility. The primary responsibility of this position is supervision of all kitchen staff, kitchen management and food preparation for the clientele of the residential treatment facility.
Ensure the management of the kitchen maintains compliance with NARA’s policy and procedures, as well as State, County, and Federal guidelines.
Supervision of all kitchen staff.
Coordinate with the Food Services Director for menu planning.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen area.
Maintain inventory of kitchen department supplies and orders materials as needed.
Serve and/or supervise meals service to clients in cafeteria.
Monitor kitchen details by assigned clientele.
Either High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certification required.
Experience cooking for residential treatment facility, school or hospital.
Five years of kitchen management experience.
Knowledge of meal preparation and menu planning.
Must have current Food Handler’s Card
Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients, the community, and other staff members.
Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be insurable under NARA NW’s auto insurance policy.
