Physical Therapist - Therapy - Full-Time

Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Hanford Post Physical Therapy & Wellness Center, located in Jersey City, New Jersey. This full-time, onsite role is pivotal in helping our patients reclaim their mobility and achieve optimal functionality through evidence-based rehabilitation practices. With a focus on promotion, prevention, and intervention, this position involves developing personalized treatment plans and fostering a supportive environment that encourages patient participation and motivation.

Hanford Post Physical Therapy & Wellness Center is a leading outpatient facility dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our patients through specialized orthopedic care. Our state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot sports medicine facility is equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies and offers a comprehensive suite of services aimed at rehabilitation and wellness. We have built a reputation for excellence by focusing primarily on patients with private medical insurance and prioritizing their overall health and well-being.

Our facility provides a collaborative and engaging work environment where you will be part of a close-knit team comprising two seasoned physical therapists and one professional physical therapy assistant (PTA). Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. The role involves direct patient interaction in a hands-on treatment setting, ensuring that your skills and dedication make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.

Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' needs and set achievable rehabilitation goals.

Manage an efficient caseload, typically treating one patient per hour, allowing for quality interaction and effective care.

Employ manual therapy skills and advanced therapeutic modalities to reduce pain and promote healing.

Document patient progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Offer patients alternative solutions to medications or surgical interventions, focusing on non-invasive treatment strategies.

Foster an encouraging atmosphere, motivating patients through their treatment journey to improve functional abilities.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, providing integrated services for enhanced patient outcomes.

Regularly assess and reassess treatment effectiveness, adjusting care plans as necessary to meet patients' evolving needs.

Promote health and wellness by educating patients on lifestyle improvements, strength training, flexibility exercises, and coordination activities.

Our practice mainly caters to patients with various orthopedic conditions, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. You will work closely with individuals who are motivated to enhance their movement capabilities and overall quality of life, providing personalized care that takes into account each patient's unique situation, lifestyle, and therapy goals.

A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.

Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey, with a clean record free from disciplinary actions.

Strong foundational knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques.

Proficient in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT or similar platforms.

Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Familiarity with multi-modal treatment approaches and the ability to engage patients with various therapy techniques.

Understanding of the latest developments in physical therapy practices and evidence-based guidelines.
