Every other weekend required. Floating may be required within facility and scope of practice as needed. Highlights: Medical Surgical unit with remote telemetry capabilities serving adolescent through geriatric patient populations 38-bed unit with average daily census of 33 patients maintaining consistent 1:6 staffing ratios across all shifts Epic EMR experience required, along with Pyxis and SBAR familiarity Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, lift teams, and more Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract period First-time travelers welcomed with minimum 1 year of nursing experience Requirements: Active Georgia or Compact state RN license required at time of submission Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted Current BLS certification required Epic charting system experience required Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred Med/Surg skills including peripheral line care/management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE, and use of rapid response/code teams Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required Full compliance required by Tuesday prior to start date; late compliance results in two-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation schedule Why It's a Great Opportunity: This medical surgical position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse patient population while supported by a robust interdisciplinary team.
