Job Opportunity – Medical Oncology Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day/Night shifts only; staffing ratio goal is 1:4 (may be 1:5); weekend coverage variable based on unit needs; 36-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support

Highlights:

• Oncology experience preferred but not required – strong Med/Surg background welcomed
• Care for patients with solid tumor cancers across the full spectrum of their cancer journey, from diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care
• EMR: Epic charting system
• 72-hour orientation provided
• Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention
• May float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience (current within the last 12 months)
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS certification required; ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Telemetry interpretation and monitoring skills required
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Skills include: accessing/managing ports, chemotherapy administration, blood product administration, central line blood draws, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts and maintenance, isolation precautions/PPE, and tracheostomy care
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 must be from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
