# Job Opportunity – Medical Oncology Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: December 14, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day/Night or Night shifts available; variable weekend coverage based on unit needs; staffing ratios goal of 1:4, may flex to 1:5; floating required to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units as needed

Highlights:

• Comprehensive oncology unit caring for all solid tumor cancers across the full cancer journey, from diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care
• Diverse patient population including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancer diagnoses
• Oncology experience preferred but not required – excellent opportunity for experienced Med-Surg RNs to transition into specialty care
• 36-bed unit with telemetry monitoring and interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system; equipment includes GE telemetry, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds
• 72-hour orientation period to support successful transition

Requirements:

• Current RN license (Compact or Ohio state license)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Competency in telemetry interpretation and monitoring
• Skills in IV therapy, blood product administration, central line management, port access, chemotherapy administration, isolation precautions, and dysrhythmia management
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
