Job Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations through both standardized tests and observational methods.
• Design customized treatment plans that address immediate goals while also catering to long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that target language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop cohesive and effective care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to families and patients to aid progress between therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care continuity.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to all state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Stay informed about advancements in the field through ongoing education and professional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
