Senior Account Manager - Life Sciences Electron Microscopy

Thermo Fisher Scientific

Senior Account Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific responsible for driving growth and managing strategic customer relationships for electron microscopy solutions across academic institutions and research centers in a six-state territory. This role focuses on cryo-EM and volume EM technologies supporting structural biology and advanced imaging research.

Responsibilities

Manage all sales and account activities for Life Sciences Electron Microscopy solutions across academic institutions and research centers in assigned territory
Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned to institutional priorities, grant funding cycles, and facility growth initiatives
Build and maintain strong relationships with principal investigators, facility directors, and university leadership
Identify and close opportunities across instrumentation, automation, software, and service offerings
Partner with application scientists to deliver technical demonstrations and workshops tailored to academic audiences

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, Physics, or Engineering
5+ years sales or account management experience with scientific instrumentation
Strong understanding of cryo-electron microscopy and advanced imaging workflows
Experience selling into academic research environments and core facilities
Proven track record managing complex capital equipment sales cycles
Excellent communication and presentation skills for scientific audiences
Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams in matrixed organization
