As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new revenue growth across a national and international/world territory. Your main focus will be identifying and cultivating new business opportunities with scientists at biotech startups and early-stage pharma companies. You will build and manage the sales pipeline, represent the company at industry conferences, and work with the internal scientific staff to develop marketing materials. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of direct sales or business development experience within the preclinical CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry. The ideal candidate is a pure hunter, focused on net new business, who thrives without close supervision and has a proven track record of achieving sales targets. Revenue Generation: Secure a minimum of $1 million in new business within the first year. 2. Autonomy and Accountability: Must be a self-directed professional who requires no hand-holding or micromanagement. 3. Scientific Credibility: Must have a biology or chemistry background to communicate effectively with scientist clients. 4. Hunter Mentality: Focus nearly 100% of the time on generating net new business from scratch. 5. Proactive Pipeline Building: Independently identify and attend trade shows to build and manage the sales pipeline. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or a related field At least 2 years of experience in direct sales, business development, or marketing within the preclinical CRO or pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Strong understanding of the preclinical drug development process, including in vivo and in vitro studies. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building client relationships. Experience in communication platforms (email/phone/CRM templates), presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
