Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Eleanor Behavioral Health Center, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive preliminary interviews and maintaining detailed documentation of client progress from the initial consultation to the completion of treatment.
\n
• Evaluating clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health conditions to inform clinical decisions.
\n
• Developing individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitating engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions, employing various evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Monitoring client progress consistently throughout their treatment journey, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary.
\n
• Collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create cohesive intervention plans.
\n
• Following up with healthcare providers for clients admitted to inpatient facilities, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Identifying potential barriers to recovery and implementing strategies to address these challenges promptly.
\n
• Providing guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers to help them understand and manage mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse population within the Pueblo region, addressing various mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to PTSD and substance use disorders. You will work with clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults, and will be responsible for tailoring your therapeutic approach based on their specific needs and backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position should meet the following qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of Colorado.
\n
• A passing score on either the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and compassionately.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling within clinical or community settings.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for efficient documentation and client tracking.

• Experience working with clients facing co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, and a familiarity with addiction disorders.

• An understanding of the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and a solid knowledge of psychotropic medications.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
