Work Environment

As an onsite Physical Therapist, you will work closely with patients in their homes to provide personalized care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in a home care setting, determining the best course of treatment based on individual assessment results.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans using a variety of modalities to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and facilitate recovery from injuries or surgical procedures.
• Utilize hands-on techniques, therapeutic exercises, stretching maneuvers, and assistive devices as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
• Regularly track and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changes in condition and therapeutic goals.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to provide education on treatment protocols, exercises, and the use of assistive devices.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy techniques and best practices through ongoing professional development, including workshops and networking.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse patient population, including children and adults facing challenges related to injury recovery, chronic conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation. The personalized approach in home care not only fosters stronger relationships with patients but also enhances their motivation to achieve therapeutic goals in a familiar environment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records systems and other relevant technology for tracking patient progress and reporting.
• Ability to adapt treatment methods to suit varying patient needs and environments, demonstrating flexibility and agility.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy practice, specifically within home care settings, is preferred.
• Experience in creating and delivering individualized treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
• Knowledge of adaptive technologies and assistive devices.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually, alongside an attractive benefits package designed to prioritize employee well-being.
