Reactive Physical Therapy is actively seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to become a vital member of our dedicated healthcare team in Vienna, Virginia. This full-time, onsite position in home care focuses on delivering personalized rehabilitative services to our senior residents. Work Environment

This position will primarily take place within clients' homes, allowing you to work directly with residents in a comfortable setting. Working with a small, interdisciplinary team that includes occupational therapists and nursing staff, you will have access to a variety of resources and therapy equipment necessary to implement effective treatment sessions. Your typical schedule will run Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you the flexibility to balance your work and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough initial assessments and continued evaluations of patients to establish baselines and track progress.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each resident's clinical evaluation and personal rehabilitation goals.
• Administer hands-on therapeutic interventions, such as manual therapy, exercises, and modalities, aimed at restoring function and reducing pain.
• Educate residents and their families about therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, and preventive strategies to foster independence and minimize injuries at home.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, attending interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient care plans and contribute to improving outcomes.
• Accurately document treatment sessions, resident progress, and billing information promptly in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives through regular participation in staff training and development programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on the geriatric population, addressing a variety of age-related physical conditions such as arthritis, post-surgery recovery, balance issues, and other mobility challenges. The goal is to create individualized programs that cater not only to their physical needs but also consider their emotional and psychological well-being, assuring a holistic approach to health.

Qualifications

• A valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain it upon hire).
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, alongside exceptional organization and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate disposition, demonstrating patience and dedication to enhancing the lives of senior adults.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy, particularly in a home care or assisted living setting.
• Proven experience in developing care plans that incorporate evidence-based methods tailored to the unique needs of older adults.

Compensation and Benefits
