Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for students and their families to identify emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting their well-being.

• Develop and implement tailored intervention plans using a variety of therapeutic methodologies, including crisis intervention, individual, group, and family therapy.
\n
• Work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, and healthcare team members to design and execute effective care strategies for students.
\n
• Facilitate discharge planning by liaising with various stakeholders, such as consulting physicians, third-party payers, and community resources, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
\n
• Educate and counsel families on coping strategies and resources related to illness and life challenges, fostering resilience and adaptation.
\n
• Evaluate students exhibiting signs of depression and anxiety, providing short-term counseling and appropriate referrals for further support.
\n
• Participate in on-call rotations to manage after-hours crises and support client needs whenever they arise.
\n
• Engage in professional development by presenting at educational conferences, sharing your expertise in psychosocial oncology practices.
\n
• Contribute to community outreach initiatives that promote health education, consultation, and volunteerism aimed at enhancing support services for cancer survivors.

• Assist in the training and supervision of new clinical social workers, fostering skill development and professional growth within the field of oncology social work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LCSW will primarily work with children and adolescents in the school setting, addressing a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is required; an LCSW licensure is essential for this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
