This full-time role, based in our Hempstead, New York facility, primarily provides remote services within a school setting. This position is uniquely structured to accommodate a remote working environment while serving students in a school setting. Our flexible work schedule includes day, evening, and weekend shifts based on student and departmental needs. While most interactions will occur through virtual platforms, occasional onsite visits may be necessary to foster relationships and ensure comprehensive support. LCSWs will collaborate with educators, school administrators, and families to create an inclusive environment conducive to student success.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial evaluations of students to identify emotional, social, and academic challenges impacting their educational experience.

• Design and implement individualized support plans that address students' needs and enhance their coping strategies, resilience, and emotional regulation.

• Provide one-on-one counseling and facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on topics such as grief, adjustment issues, and social skills development.

• Develop and coordinate workshops and educational programs for students, parents, and staff that promote mental health awareness and foster a supportive school climate.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including teachers and school psychologists, to ensure holistic support for students' academic and personal growth.

• Document all interventions and maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards in social work practice, ensuring confidentiality and quality assurance.

• Serve as a liaison between the school and community organizations to connect families with additional supportive resources and services.

• Participate in school-wide initiatives and committees focused on mental health promotion and crisis intervention.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on elementary, middle, and high school students, many of whom may experience unique challenges as members of the Latinx community. This role will require cultural competence to effectively address issues related to acculturation, identity, and family dynamics. You will play a key role in not only providing direct psychological support but also advocating for students and their families in various contexts.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• An active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is essential to practice in New York.
