Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' counseling needs, focusing on mental health and co-occurring disorders.

• Utilize the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) criteria to evaluate substance abuse issues and determine appropriate care levels using ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) standards.

• Develop and document individualized treatment plans, including substance abuse counseling components, tailored to meet each student’s unique needs.
\n
• Coordinate discharge and continuum of care plans, ensuring students transition seamlessly to the appropriate support services.
\n
• Maintain accurate clinical records that document all aspects of therapy, including assessments, counseling sessions, referrals, and follow-ups.
\n
• Manage a varied caseload effectively, providing necessary updates and documentation for case management and utilization reviews.
\n
• Collaborate with families and school officials, providing necessary support and coordination of services as outlined in the treatment plan.
\n
• Engage in crisis intervention as necessary, employing a multi-disciplinary team approach to facilitate timely and effective support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this position is primarily on students experiencing various mental health challenges, including emotional and behavioral issues, as well as those with substance use disorders. Qualifications\n
