Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and assessments during initial consultations to identify clients' needs.
\n
• Develop personalized treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, incorporating evidence-based practices.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe and supportive environment for open dialogue.

• Monitor clients’ progress throughout their treatment pathways, making necessary adjustments to intervention plans as appropriate.

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams of mental health specialists, primary care providers, and social workers to ensure holistic client care.

• Manage referrals and follow up with other healthcare professionals regarding clients admitted to hospitals or specialized facilities.

• Assist clients and their families in understanding and addressing mental health challenges, thereby facilitating a supportive home environment.

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all interactions, assessments, and treatment outcomes within our electronic health record system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Centura, you will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various emotional and behavioral challenges. Your role will significantly impact individuals struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and other mental health concerns. We are particularly focused on providing culturally competent care that respects each client's unique background and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Exceptional proficiency in electronic health record systems, with preference to candidates familiar with AVATAR.
\n
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to demonstrate empathy and foster trust with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating a robust understanding of psychotherapy techniques.

• Knowledge and experience in treating co-occurring disorders and clients with complex psychological and emotional needs.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical guidelines.

• A strong understanding of psychotropic medications and their implications for mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
