Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychotherapy sessions via telehealth, addressing a range of emotional, mental, and behavioral issues that clients present.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention services for clients experiencing acute distress, utilizing therapeutic techniques to stabilize their condition.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring compliance and security of information.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic strategies such as applied behavior analysis to aid clients facing behavioral challenges and promoting positive behavioral change.
• Tailor mental health counseling sessions to meet the unique needs of each client, fostering a safe and trusting therapeutic alliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Virtual Mental Health Therapist at Finding New Hope Counseling, you will engage with a diverse range of clients, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our patient demographic includes adults of all ages, and you will work collaboratively with them to develop personalized treatment plans that promote growth, healing, and resilience.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active California state licensure as either LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in providing mental health counseling or therapy, demonstrating proficiency and depth of practice in this field.
• Comfort and proficiency with telehealth platforms and digital patient management systems.
• A strong commitment to patient-centered care, with skills in establishing rapport and empathy with a variety of clients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions is highly valued and contributes positively to team dynamics.
• A background in using motivational interviewing techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), or other recognized therapeutic modalities will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
